He is the author of Going Circular: The Evolution of Reverse Logistics into a Competitive Weapon and has over 15 years of experience directing and transforming reverse logistics operations. As the CEO of RecirQ, he grew a company that matched "used supply" with new sources of domestic and international demand thereby reducing waste while unlocking new revue streams for companies. At Cisco, Rich led a team focused on achieving the company's circular economy goals. He overhauled their reverse logistics, optimizing returns processes through data-driven approaches and new business processes. Previously at Verizon, Rich initiated and led the company’s first trade-in and monetization strategies for mobile phones across B2B, retail, indirect and online channels. He enabled Verizon to become the first U.S. wireless carrier selling refurbished devices graded by condition on eBay and Amazon.
