Diego Mallada is a Senior Telecommunications Engineer specialized in Communications from the University of Zaragoza. He also holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Carlos III University and a Master's in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence from the Instituto de Empresa (IE). He combines his role as Digital Tech Director at Gestamp with teaching at various universities and business schools on topics such as Big Data, IoT, Business Intelligence, Software, Artificial Intelligence, and Entrepreneurship. He is also the CTO of the IndesIA Consortium, of which Gestamp is a founding member. The multidisciplinary technical team he leads at Gestamp develops products and software platforms related to the Company's Strategy in the field of Industry 4.0, Data, and AI, which are used by the Group's plants globally. His expertise in the world of data spaces dates back to 2018. At Gestamp, he is a member of the architecture team of the automotive consortium Catena-X, and through IndesIA, he is part of the Spanish hub of GAIA-X.
